1930—Millinery Processes
by Carlotta M. Brown
PREFACE
Out of years of experience in college and high-school classrooms, in extension work, and in commercial millinery has come the realization of the need of a textbook covering the fundamental processes of hat-making.
To the student who is taking up the general subject of clothing construction and to the home-maker who handles the making of the family's wardrobe, millinery presents its individual problems.
It is to meet the needs of these groups that "Millinery Processes" has been written. Throughout the book the aim has been to present the foundation work in millinery in as much detail as possible, so that every step in the making of different types of hats may be clear to the worker.
For the greater convenience of both teacher and student the subjects have been arranged in alphabetical order. In the teaching of millinery the seasons and the particular needs of the special group should determine the lesson sequence.
